Hi, my brother is looking at buying a second car for the weekends and that. Something quite sporty like an Audi TT or VX220. He drives a 2.0TD Suzuki Grand Vitara at the moment which he really wants to keep to take to work and that.

What is the best way to insure a second car? Am I right in saying that you can't use your no claims bonus for a second policy?

Thanks

Matt

Thanks for the help guys it's much appreciated. He can't buy a new car until he's 25 in April as there is no one over here that will insure him on the cars he's looking at so he's got a few months to decide what to do. Chances are he'll sell the Vitara as it is just a year old this month and so wouldn't have to add much more to get a deacent TT/VX220. If he were to keep the vitara and take out a new policy for the sports car he's looking at £3-4k to insure it which is just not worth it. The cheapest quote i've found so far is £1480 for the 2.2ltr VX220 and £2060 for the 1.8T (225) TT using his 6NCB which to me doesn't sound to bad.
