Integrating sp2 into nlite?

How do I integrate sp2 into an nlite installation? Do I have to download the service pack from somewhere again even though I have sp2 already on my pc? When I try to download sp2 it takes me to windows update but that doesn't allow me to download an exe file to the pc.

Download the .exe and then follow the instruction in either Nlite or on their website.

you need .net 2.0 installed to run nlite

get it from here as a switchless installer (double click the exe once to install!)

I have .net 2 already installed, it happens when it's creating the new xp install.

copy your clean microsoft windows disc to C:\xp or C:\2k whatever you're using

make sure you have .net 2 installed (use that ryanvm one aswell, no harm)

if its not a clean xp disc (ie a sony one or something) then it might well not work

the dell oem discs work fine by the way

I have done, it seems to work fine on my laptop but not on my desktop so I'll have to use that, typcial.

Is there a way to integrate sata drivers into the install?

Yes, I cant remeber how exaclty how, but i think you need to point the installer (in the drivers section) to the .inf file.

Is it possible to add stuff like media player 11, 7zip, bittorrent, codecs, anti-spyware programs etc into the install? I know there are some of these in the addons section but it doesn't say how to add them.

It's quite simple.

Have a browse through this list here to see if what you want is there, or have a search through the forum as there is lots there.

When using nlite, just add them as hotfixes
