I'm trying to help my stepson upgrade on a budget (as in, he has no money) so his system can benefit from his (my old) 2070 Super.
Based on stuff I've read, the 10400F will be a pretty hefty upgrade from his existing 4670K but will that B460 HD3 hold it back in any way? It'll be paired with 3200mhz DDR4 RAM and (at the moment) just a SATA HD. There isn't the extra £80+ to get a Ryzen 3600 and motherboard so that's not an option.
He runs 2 screens at 1080p (one is 144hz) and his aim is to get high frames on Call of Duty Warzone whilst being able to stream too - the current set-up tanks the framerate to mid-40s when running anything on the second screen, so I'm hoping that having 2 more cores and 8 extra threads will make a significant difference in this regard.
So yeah, I guess I'm asking if this combo will be good and does anybody have any experience of running it on dual screens (google is surprisingly unhelpful when trying to search for info on this)?
