Is that going to be one of those "cheap Intel CPU's" that is officially launched but rarely put on the market?

Those things are just for reviewers for to add to a performance value chart.
 
Some of the UK retailers are being pretty cheeky - one had the i7 listed at £399 then must have seen OcUK pricing and raised it to £410, still undercutting.

I'm strangely tempted by the 10900K, I know it's daft but it will no doubt take the gaming performance crown and the sooner AMD can release Zen 3 the better. People itching to upgrade from Haswell (like myself) will
just look at the raw numbers apart from heat and power consumption obviously. I'll have to be strong although as I'm GPU limited it obviously makes little sense to buy now.

E-Peen. What if in a couple of months you just have second best, out of two?
 
Prices are still pretty bad when you compare against 3000 series 10700K still cost more than 3900X which has been as low as £380 recently.

Not even close to 3700X and 3800X which are well under £300 now for 5-10% better in gaming if not GPU limited.

Might be fun to overclock with a chiller but bit pointless for everyday use as boards and cooling will expensive to see benefit.
 
Now AMD should launch a single CCX 8 core style 3300X (3890X?) high clocked and £300 to urinate on Intel's parade while Zen 3 takes a while yet to get here......
