I'd like to play around with Linux so I can slowly but surely move away from Microsoft products but unsure where to start, Does Linux have Intels Thread Director yet ? And is Nvidia working ok with Linux as I remember the famous Linus Torvalds "**** you Nvidia" video :D

They work just fine. Nvidia drivers are not open sourced, but they are relatively stable now (much better than they used to be since they're the only real game in town when it comes to compute and a lot of that happens on Linux, so huge market for Nvidia).

ITD is included in 5.18 but it's RC yet, due in about 6-8 weeks.

Thank you, I'll wait a while then :)

The better starter Linux distros are: Linux Mint > PopOS.
Since my switch to Linux ( deleted my microsoft account ), my daily driver has been PopOS - since I'm using AMD CPU and NVidia GPU.
It's very handy for nvidia drivers.
