Intel 16 Core i7 13700K cooling options

Hi there

I am building a pc soon for a mate and cant decide on a cooler for a new i7 13700K.
Pc will be in either a Corsair 4000 or Lian li Lancool 216. Its a gaming pc and I want it as quiet as possible.

I had decided on a Noctua NH-U12a but as my mate wants plenty of RGB (not my choice lol) I am now looking at AIO options. Trouble is, I hear that they are not as quiet and pumps can also be noisy.

So am i better of sticking with the Nocture or are there AIO that are quiet for around the £150 mark?

Artic freezer 2 360 is quiet and will handle that chip. Just check it fits the 4000 Corsair. I have it front mounted in the 5000. Just get the volts in check and you will be grand.

I gave up with water coolers some time ago. They are noisy and unreliable, they also lose cooling ability over time. I mean, just me, I guess, but I prefer a simple cooler. You can always add some RGB strips if you want tons of RGB.

Thanks. The Noctua coolers really are great. How quiet is the U12A?
