Hi All,

Im thinking of getting rid of my z77 mobo and cpu,

im was wondering if i should go for the x79 mobo and 2011 cpu or hold off until new CPU is out?

Any ideas

What do you use your PC for, and if gaming how many graphics cards are you planning on getting?

2011 will remain current for quite some time, however if you mostly use your PC for home type uses and gaming and only plan on getting 1 or 2 graphics cards, then you might be better off waiting for Haswell

if on the other hand you do a lot of 3D modelling or video encoding or something that can make use of 6-8 cores (hoping the IB-E comes in 8 core desktop flavour), and/or you plan on getting 3-4 graphics cards, then 2011 could well be the setup for you
