Hey guys,

I've just downloaded CPU-Z and well I've seen something weird. I have recently purchased a Intel 2500k processor and it is 3.30ghz. However, after looking at the Core Speed on CPU-Z it says its:

Core Speed : 1596mhz
Multiplier : x16

Does this mean that my processor is actually running at 1.6ghz or to get the proper result of the processor you multi 1.6ghz to that 'x16'?

Thank you :)

I probably keep it, no point turning it off as when I do need it, its there for me :). Im considering overclocking soon anyway, im just a tad scared to go for it atm haha

I have the Asrock Extreme 4 Generation 3 motherboard Andy. Really might just google some vids of people overclocking this motherboard and use there setting or lower
