I have an Acer Predator PC which isn't that old, but it is very 'off the shelf' if you know what I mean.

Im looking at using the Intel i5 4570 CPU from it, and GTX 770 GPU and putting them on an ASUS Maximus Ranger VII Mobo.

My question is, would a CPU from a PC like that (pc world) be any different from one you buy off here, or will it just fit straight in with all the new correct parts to suit the new board, RAM etc?

Thanks in advance!

That's fine, I don't aim to at the moment, just want to make sure you can get 2 versions of that CPU and one wont fit

Haswell only overclocks by bclk, 4570 for example runs 3.2ghz and with Turbo boost a max of 3.4ghz for 4 cores, or 3,6ghz for 2.
