Is this a worthy upgrade for my old SFF PC?

For gaming, productivity, and multitasking, etc?

The Xeon has an extra four hyperthreaded cores, more cache, and higher clock speed.

Or did I just waste £50? xD

Cheers guys, I love my SFF lol, use it as HTPC in the bedroom now, great for games, movies, TV and Plex server.

If the Xeon will keep it going for few more years then worth the £50 xD

Grabbed the latest BIOS today, 2019 (Amazed they still update bios for this machine) XD

Installed the Xeon 1231 v3, after a lil panic (No boot then constant no post) It sprung to life !

Wasn't 100% if it would be compatible with HP elite-desk G1, but it is running awesome.

Weirdly temps are cooler, (Maybe the new paste?) everything seems fine. Games etc. Happy days. Hopefully get a few more years life from this old PC.

This xeon 1231 v3 has been a lil power house for gaming, runs really cool too. Glad I picked it up.
