Hi,

I have a new haswell refresh 4590 in an msi h81m p33 board and have noticed that it maxes out turbo boost at 3500 and not 3700 as it should.

I am unable to change much in the bios of this board and don't really understand why it wouldn't hit it's max turbo speed when running intel burn test.

Any suggestions on what i am missing?

Thanks.

Max turbo clock speed is only achieved in single threaded applications.

When you place all 4 cores under load the max turbo is reduced. In your case to 3.5Ghz.

Your mobo might have an option to lock the turbo multiplier to 3.7ghz on all cores tho.Worth a look
