Hi,

Excuse the question, but I have not been keeping up with latest stuff in the last few months, but does Intel have a true 64 bit cpu that will run Windows XP 64?

Thanks

John

Look for the Intel chips which mention EM64T (this is the equivalent of AMD's AMD64/x86-64). Those chips are 64-bit capable chips and can run Win XP x64.

you may want to check if you can get the drivers for yuor hardware BEFORE you goto X64... theres still a lot of items out there not ready for 64 bit yet :(
you may find odd things like webcams / graphics tablets etc wont have drivers availible
