intel 6400 to e8400

at the moment i have a intel duo 6400 2.13 overclocked to 2.80
ho wmuch diffrence would there be in games if i upgraded to a e8400 or a
q6600 quad

can you not overclock any higher on yours? would have though 3ghz+ easily

You don't mention what graphics card you have, the games you play or your monitor's resolution - these all impact performance as well as the CPU.

I don't think the upgrade is worth the money as I wouldn't expect much difference in game performance, but maybe you have different criteria other than value-for-money.
