I have a HP Pavilion 15-N297SA and have upgrade the HDD into a 500GB SSD and also taken out the standard Realtek wifi card and bought and installed the Intel 7260 Wireless AC/Bluetooth card.

So i grab the latest drivers from Intel's site (win 7 U x64) and install them (file name is WP-BT_17.1.1411.01_s64) i see the BT install go without any issues but nothing seems to go in on the wifi side, i'm sure something like Pro/wifi should be seen but nothing, anyway reboot and BT is working fine but nothing is showing up on the wifi side of things, yet when i put my old realtek card back in it's fine.

Am i missing something here, i have looked in the bios but nothing that seems to fit my problems, I know HP used to have a whitelist of hardware but i have been told that it was done away with 18 months ago, so any have any suggestion, i don't want to send it back to OC if i'm making a mistake at my end.

What did you do wrong? it might help others in future if you explain. :p

If I must explain I will but it's so sad it's untrue...

As i say i downloaded the driver fine and BT went in fine and the reason, no wifi went in was simple, I didn't download the wifi drivers, i thought given my card was wifi/bt in one the drivers would all be in one installer package, but no one for BT and another one for wifi, so such a newbie mistake i doubt anyone else will make the same error, so i'm off to hang my head in shame.
