Does this chipset give great overclocking.

Thinking of doing a cheap upgrade, a E2200, but can I get a decent o/c with a nforce7 chipset mobo?

780i isnt a good board really. Basically 680i board, so you may have issues with FSB holes etc etc.

790i boards are great though from what ive seen. Especially for quads. :)

790 offers good sli efficiency with certain games from what i read. also ddr 3 comptibility which offers faster clocks and capacity of them can be a lot larger than ddr2. though faster clocks wont be much of an importance right now since cpus arnt quite up to date with the speeds of the ram.

You can easily run a 2000FSB CPU and Memory at 1000mhz or as its DDR3 run the Memory at 2000mhz (thats just about the limit of DDR3 Modules out now).
