Intel 8 Core Laptops

4 Core laptops have been around for a while now and I'm in need of an upgrade. I want to free up some space in my spare room and so I'm seriously considering a laptop. I'm a little too used to the 12+ core machines I use at work so I really want to have similar performance.

Does anyone know when 8 core laptops will hit the market? I will do a comparison between the 4 core and 8 core machines when they are available before committing as more cores doesn't always mean more performance.
 
If you grab one of the old p570wm systems you can put the high core count xeons in it. However there has been no successor to it due to low demand.

Interesting. They seem a little hard to get and they have older graphics cards in them. A 5960 type processor laptop would be very interesting.
