I have one of these on the way ready to build my Conroe rig. Do I need a floppy for F6 during windows set up. I will be using a SATA writer and SATA hard drive.

Nope. Works just fine, at least Media Centre had a newer verison of the sata driver then what came on the floppy disk. As far as I know you only need to do the F6/insert floppy during OS install if you intend setting up a Raid config with sata. But for normal sata the default settings in bios are fine and it uses the OS driver.

Thank you very much. Just what I wanted to hear. I don't want to have to install a floppy just to install windows and then never use it again.
