I'm sure I'm missing something blindingly obvious here but I can't for the life of me get XP to load the drivers for the onboard sound on my new Badaxe2. The audio hardware is enabled in the BIOS but when I try and load the drivers from the CD it goes through the motions, reboots as expected then says "installation failed". If I try any of the later versions from the Intel site they do the same thing but give a message of "This system does not support the driver you're trying to install", which I assume is what the CD installer was complaining of too.

Has anyone managed to get the onboard audio on one of these boards working?

My badaxe onboard audio works just fine in XP Pro 64bit edition. No driver issues at all. Did find with Vista 64, the Microsoft drivers worked perfectly, but intels own drivers didnt want to install. However, I think I did manage to find Vista 64bit drivers in the end.

Perhaps an issue with your windows install, or your motherboard.

I gave up in the end and chucked Vista 64 on it and everything's fine, except I can't find anything now because I haven't sussed Vista yet but that's life I suppose.
