INTEL BRING THE BIG GUNS!

Or good business to keep the competitors and buyers on their toes thinking?. 8 pack already said nothing has changed on the release date, that's good enough to confirm not panicking.

I don't care about all the speculation, the paranoia and wishful thinking some folks have, I just want to see the products and let them do their own talking although unfortunately we're at the mercy of review sites and who knows their agenda (favouritism), testing techniques(flawed) etc.

I don't care about review sites, I have dev systems to build and test, and uncertainty with timelines significantly changes how, and what I need to tell people. The lack of information hurts my business, and therefore my ability to trust what is being stated as an "unchanged release date" I am sure that you can understand. It's fine if all you do is play games, and read reviews but when your income and lively hood is impacted then it matters that information being released is correct.

Just overclocked the two cores intel say are the 'best' to 5ghz. Very nice setup actually as windows now recognizes the 'best' cores and uses them for single thread stuff. and in multi thread they still run at 5ghz. nice little bump in performance!

single thread in cinebench up to 223 and should help a lot with games

I think overclocking PCs and modding cars is a similar mindset - pushing the equipment further than the manufacturer intended to be available for "normal folks". The VFM aspect also comes into - why buy a v6 when you can tune your 2ltr to be as fast?

Of course there's an exception to every rule but cmon, you've got to admit the cockedness density is higher with among Porsche owners.
Maybe I was mistaken... Perhaps this one is more of your liking.

LOL. What a show.

No, currently going through an Evo phase ;). Values are going up so it seemed like a good time to scratch the itch.

2.1 pinto on throttle bodies, high torque cam, steel bottom end, forged pistons, steel flywheel, 180bhp. 320bhp per tonne.

What's your Evo spec? I've always liked Evos.

Nice! I'm only down the road relatively speaking, and I teach advanced driving for RoSPA (I was taught by Reg Local if you know him). If you ever want a run out to add you your skillset just let me know... I don't just want to experience your car, honest. ;)

Nice, yeah you'd give a few cars jip on track in that lol. Love ITBs, can't beat the noise. The Evo is a fairly tidy example so I didn't want to mod too much. It's an Evo 8 running a hybrid Evo 9 bb turbo and a few bolt ons. 330bhp at the wheels

Yeah I can only imagine that the way the vfm's deliver the power would put a smile on my face too. ;) :D.

I watched a rather nippy Evo 8 munch every car on the track when I went to Castle Combe a few years ago. It was impressive watching take corners faster than others were driving on the straights.
