Intel Burn failure

Yesterday i swapped all of my hardware out of my old computer and into a new case, onto a new motherboard, with a new HSF. Everything else is exactly the same. Now with my old setup, passed Intel Burn on maximum. Now, with the new setup, it passed on standard, but failed on maximum.

I ran Intel Burn test, on maximum, , running 5 times. When i came back to my computer it said that it had failed. It went through twice fine:

As you can see my max temperatures were at around 63c. Surely this wouldn't cause it to fail? Everything is at stock and when i ran Intel burn with the same hardware but different motherboard+HSF it passed.

Any ideas?

Been running Prime95 Blend for 3 hours so far with no problems yet. Was looking to increase the RAM voltage, but am hesitant now :(

Cheers

But it is Kingston HyperX and i haven't had any problems with it at all or before. Also, i am running Prime Blend and there hasn't been any problems

I personally haven't but they may well be different from my other board:

I know that the RAM voltage on my other motherboard was 1.8V as well and i am assuming the CPU voltage is the same too.
Why did it manage to be OK during Prime Blend if it is a problem with the voltage

If it passes IBT on standard but fails on higher settings then the first thing to do would be to run memtest86 as mentioned above theres a good chance the memory overclock or settings aren't stable or the memory is failing.

Its a completely different motherboard all of the voltages and settings are gonna be different you can't just expect everything to the exact same when you've changed your motherboard.

I'd check all the voltages, and the ram settings to and make sure they are at recommended settings.

The RAM settings are exactly the same as my other motherboard. 1.8V. I could not change the voltage of anything on my other motherboard.
Not sure what voltage the Q6600 should be at, but the current voltage in in the screenshot of CPUZ

I would say about 2.0 volts for them no more through for the ram, I know OCZ *like volts* not sure about these through, should say on the side

no more than 1.4(vcore) for the Q6600 unless got a very good cooler aka water cooling

most mobos you can change the volts for ram  what mobo do you have?

I did have a Dell XPS.
As you can see in the CPUZ screenshots, the voltages are Below 2.0 and 1.4.

Not sure what it can be then :( Is there a memory testing utility for use in Windows? Don't have a spare disk to put Memtest on.

Can i use the windows memory tester?

If anything, i'd want it to be a problem with the RAM, that is under a lifetime warranty. What else could it be?

Will run OCCT tomorrow when i have a few hours.

what did you change exactly? I know you said you changed the mobo, what to? or is it another oem you had?

OK, ran the windows memory diagnostic and there are no errors, will try another memory tester and OCCT.
Changed mobo from Dell XPS to an XFX 780i with Thermalright TRUE Black.

Was thinking, could it be that the RAM is under the amount of voltage? What about if i tried to up the voltage to 1.9v which is the recommended for the RAM, even though it ran on the automatic voltage of 1.8v before.

Anymore suggestions whilst i run OCCT?

Cheers for the help.

Jack

Edit: Oh and which option should i choose to run in OCCT?

Could it be just that the motherboard doesn't like my RAM at the current voltage? May try upping it to 1.9V (currently at 1.850v i think in the BIOS) see if that changes anything.

Changed it to 1.9v in the BIOS< yet when i loaded up CPUZ, it said 1.8v still. So on the next boot i changed it to auto, hopefully that will make it more stable for the time being.
