Intel Burn Test (Stability Testing)

Has anyone tried this wit 8Gb of memory? i'm failing consistently with it and Vista 64, stock or overclocked. It always passes one and fails the rest no matterhow many passes i specify, using all available memory. I.E 5 tests, fails 4 and passes 1, 3 tests -passes 1 and fails the rest etc..

I tried it with 8 gig of reaper yesterday and couldnt get it to pass at all. At the same clock with 4 gig, and swopping the ram around to try both sets, it passed every time. Not sure what to make of it at 8 gig.

With my Q6600 at 3.2Ghz that rebooted my system in about two minutes. Had to lower it to 3.15 to get it to pass. Always had the suspicion that 3.2 wasn't quite stable.

Temps were insane:

Prime95: 58c
Folding@Home SMP: 61c
Linpack: 72c

Just under 4.3Ghz stable on my E8600, max stress, 8runs -

As you can see, running Orthos in that screen and temps are at 55c, they hit 70c running the burn test!

narrowed it down to a faulty stick, fails memtest sometimes and always fails the burn test, even at loosest timing and speed. gonna contact ocuk now.

5 runs of it,no sweat:)

my system is running since November 2006,asusP5b dlx
only problems until now are the 2 kits of crucial ballistyx dead:o

Well sent off the RAM via RMA to overclockers, hopefully they read my note that its an intermittent problem with quite a few mobos, not just one and also different cpus!
