Is this program just designed to destroy your cpu or summat? prime aint getting my cpu much higher than 65-70 degrees, then i thought ide try this intel burn test ive been reading about, and it was spiking at 85! what does it do inject petrol in there or summat?

IBT stresses more than prime, in my opinion running IBT at very high for 20 passes is equivalent to 4 hours of prime. I get 10 degrees c high with IBT than with prime.

No point frying your CPU when Prime95 will show stability after an extended run at much lower temps.

Nothing you use in real life will ever reach Prime95 temps let alone the temps generate by the IBT.

yeah i figured that, just gonna stick to my normal methods of testing stability, they seem to work ok and dont make my cpu glow red ;)

Yup been using Prime95 for years to test for stability and its never let me down yet - although I like to let it run for at least 15 hours.

Personally i prefer running IBT than Prime95 as it will find an unstable overclock much faster than P95.
Yes i also find its about 10.C hotter than P95, but it is running the cpu/ram harder especially if u have at least 75% of ram usage during test.
