Intel Centrino temps

Does anyone know what temps an Intel Centrino Duo usually runs at?

The CPU fan is all over the place (up and down).
Real temp is reporting temp from 75 idle to over 100c under small load and they seem to be fluctuating up and down way to fast (jumping form 70's to 90's in a few seconds and the fan is doing the same).
The laptop however does not feel that warm and the air coming from the fan also feels cool.

Is this normal for these CPUs?

(it is a horribly tiny laptop and i would rather not take it apart to see if it has been put back together right....)

Thanks

Laptop temps are normal to get that hot, my core i5 processor in my MacBook runs at 70 idle and 105 under load sometimes. They are built to stand the heat more than other processors.

Both of your temps are too hot. Suggest you clean the fans and heatsinks of dust. My T9300 (Core 2 Duo 2.53Ghz 6Mb Penryn) laptop runs 30s-40s idle and about 75C loaded, with rmclock and undervolt = 30s idle and 60C loaded (we're talking max load, i.e LINX/ IBT). The i3, i5 and i7 laptops i service don't usually pass 80C loaded.
