Hi All

According to article in Custom PC there is an issue with the H67 and P67 Intel chipset SATA 3 controllers and this could result in a recall. Asus and a few other big names have already issued statements.

Anyone else heard of this?

Had a few issues with my Asus P8P67. Had to do the clear CMOS trick to help with boot issues and RAM and I've also noticed some cluncking/ clicking on one of the HDD's. Apparently the fault with the Intel chipset can result in Data loss or corruption and the performance of the SATA 3 ports can degrade over time.

Article also states no new Mobo's will be available till approx the end of Feb.

Will OC be taking recalls? I prefer to deal with point of sales rather than manufacturer.

Well if I could have afforded the luxuary of relaxing I may have picked it up sooner. Sadly Work and life and helping my mum who's dealing with cancer means I dont have the time I would usually have on my hands :(.
