Intel conroe stock cooler any good ?

about to buy:

Intel Core 2 DUO E6300 "LGA775 Allendale" 1.86GHz (1066FSB) - Retail (CP-126-IN)

is the stock retail cooler any good, or worth paying extra for a separate heatsink / fan.

If so what do you guys reccomend, don't want to spend too much.

If you plan on overclocking then the stock cooler may not be up to it,most peeps i`ve seen have used an after market heatsink i.e a Tuniq Tower 120(if you can get hold of one) or the Scythe Ninja/Scythe Infinity.

Also the stock cooler maybe louder so the above is a must (IMO)

Yup, the stock cooler is not up to much if you plan to OC. If you are not however it should be fine.

The Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 pro is another cooler to consider and it is slightly cheaper than the others.
