I'm a bit out of touch with this kind of thing since my last build was almost 3 years ago so i need a little help
I basically want to build a SFF PC and have the choice of 2 chipsets the Intel 975X and 945G, the chip i want is the C2D E6600 partnered with 2GB of RAM and i plan to transplant my 7800GT. I don't really have an interest in overclocking and just want reliable and good performance for a bit of gaming and Photoshop mainly.
Would i see any benefit going for the higher spec 975 or will i be pretty much fine going with the cheaper 945 given my uses and spec?
One factor i was wondering about is the lower spec 945G (in the Shuttle SD32G5) only supports a maximum of 2GB RAM, what with Vista around the corner (for me) + gaming + photoshop i'm not sure if that will be enough and limit my future upgrades. I've probably answered my own question with that but are there any other areas where i may find the 945 lacking?
Cheers
