Lo all, just about to build a new Intel Pentium Core 2 Duo system, but I'm totally confused  as to which board to go for? I was about to get the Asus P5W DH Deluxe WiFi, but have since read a lot of people having various problems BIOS mainly and also which revision  The other motherboard I was looking at was the Gigabyte 965P DQ6, but I do prefer Asus to Gigabyte? The system build I had in mind was as follows

Intel Core 2 DUO E6600
Asus P5W DH Deluxe WiFi
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz

I have the PSU (Enermax Noisetaker 600W ), graphic (BFG GeForce 7800 GTX OC) card already so its just the above I need to buy. I'm a gamer, but also like to overclock a little ;) Any advice would be appreciated :D I'm looking to oder this tonight if not first thing tomorrow

TIA

What about Abit AW9D-MAX Intel 975X (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-108-AB)

It seems the 6600 work better on 975x chipsets.

also the DQ6 is a load of rubbish for the price from what ive seen. i reccommend:

ASUS P5B Deluxe WiFi-AP if you have money to blow, as it has a maximum stable FSB ( on average) of: 480! ( its the best ive seen atm)

or cheaper options :

DS3 ( 380FSB)

Abit P5B ( 340 FSB)

S3 if you want something cheap and cheerful ( 290 FSB)

Would you recommend this (ASUS P5B Deluxe WiFi-AP )above the Asus P5W DH Deluxe WiFi?

Is that with a E6600 though? also if it reaches a FSB of 480 it doesnt neccesarily mean your going to get a high clock does it. . .

I have the DQ6, and its ace

tho a real bugger when it comes to aftermarket heatsincs etc.

aside from that a great board.

take a look at bit-tech.net

they have a review of both the Asus and Gigabyte boards
