Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 LGA775 'Yorkfield' 3.0GHz 12MB-cache (1333FSB)
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 LGA775 'Yorkfield' 2.83GHz 12MB-cache (1333FSB)
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 LGA775 'Yorkfield' 2.66GHz 12MB-cache (1333FSB)
Intel Quad Core Xeon X3350 'Yorkfield' 2.66GHz 12MB-cache (1333FSB)

What is the difference between the models. Just default clock? There must be some other limiting factors?

Thanks

So just the multiplier. Am I wrong in thinking thats just a simple change to make, i.e it's easy to make a q94 to a q96 by changing the multiplier?

Thanks for the reply

You can't change the multi up.

So a Q9550 with a 9 multi cannot go higher but can go lower to 9 8 7 6

You up the FSB to reach Q9650 speeds on the Q9550 not the multi has that is locked upwards.
