When are we likely to see price drops? Q2 next year perhaps?

I can't decide if I should wait and upgrade from a Pentium D 930 (Overclocked to 4ghz) to a core2duo or quadro (when the price drops).

£700+ for just a processor is a lot of money. If only I won the lottery! :p

Thank you.

I could probally aquire one for £525 but I woudnt even waste that amount of money on it, CPU's lose too much value your much better off buying a processor for £250 or less as the difference between sell on values is better.

Look how much a X6800 is brand new £690ish, people are selling these 2nd hand for a measly £400 so if you buy one brand new right now you will have already lost £300. Quad Cores will hold their price for the time being but once more versions are released & the revised cores 1333FSB the value will diminish.

I would just buy an E6600 or less & wait till their is more versions of the Quad Cores, I doubt I will buy one till at least January 2008.

Of course if you dont really care about the value of money or you are rich, have a good job etc! well go for it I know I would! ;)

I fall under the category of more sense than money! :( lol
