Intel Core chips with 1mb of L2 cache

Hi all,

Are the Core processors with 1mb of L2 cache severly handcaped?
Am looking at a computer with the T2080 1.73mhz 1mb L2 cache 533mhz....
I know its the old "core duo" chip rebadged called a "Pentium Duel core"but with half the cache Are they any good?
