what sort of performance would you lot expect from a system like this out of curiosity, and would it even work:

intel yonah T2300 at 2.5ghz 1000mhz bus speed
Aopen i975Xa crossfire motherboard
2x512mb DDR2 running at 500mhz
sapphire X1800XT mastercard and X1800XT
2 x hitachi deskstar hard disks

would that be a particularly fast system in games and would it run cool?

that would work fantastic. Check out xtreme forums to see what ppl are getting. 3ghz on air and low volts cooooooooooooool
 
i'd get 2b ram though lol. whats the point having a nice gfx card otherwise? u wanna use everything at max settings lol ;)

Plus whatever supporting mobo is good at the time. :D
 
Yonah has been about for a while (used in Intel Macs), it's Conroe which many people are looking forward to (due in July/Aug).
