Anyone know if an Intel Core Duo T2050 Processor 1.6GHz/2M/533 - Yonah is compatible with a standard 479 Pentium M motherboard?

I'm running a 1.8 Dothan on a MSI 915GM Speedster FA4 and would like to upgrade to a Yonah.

Cheers

Unfortunately that won't work. The Pentium M has a different Pin configuration to Core Duo, despite having the same number of pins. They both have 478 pins but different configurations, thus why Pentium M is dubbed Socket 479 and initially Core Duo was labelled as Socket 480 initally?

Core Duo is socket M

Pentium M uses socket 479, even though it has 478 pins.

Core Duo will not worth with your 915 board as the chipset does not support Core Duo's features.
