Intel Core duo T2400 Pins?

Hi, i have a core duo T2400 which i am going to purchase a motherboard and memory for but on some sites it says the chip has 478 pins but don't i need a 479 motherboard?

Yes you need one of these:

Asus N4L-VM DH
MSI 945GT Speedster-A4R
AOpen i975Xa-YDG <- the best
AOpen i945GTt-VFA

All are compatible with the Core duo cpus.
 
it is the most expensive too, ive used one of these myself, personally i think
its a bit too overkill for that cpu, (you might have a fsb wall)

on the other hand the Asus N4L-VM DH is less than half the price of it
but doesnt have any overclocking options to use. Still a good board with
onboard graphics and matx format.
