Hi, the point of desktop (or laptop) Yonah is the performance per watt, my systems uses 77w on idle, but will also do superpi 1m in 31secs. Conroe will be faster, but also use more power. What everyone should be waiting for is Merom, the enhanced Yonah chip, I'll be dropping this into my asus this autumn

I'm guessing a few people are holding off placing an order till the actual Conroe processors are on the site, would be nice to pre-order the cpu, ram & mobo. Thats why I havent placed my order yet! :)

Hi there

Well we predict the DFI 975X which we have available on pre-order now will be the overclockers choice in motherboard. For CPU's we have ordered 1000 E6600 with Intel, how many we get is another story.

For memory OcUK already has all the latest and best DDR2 from Corsair, Crucial, G.Skill and OCZ. If there are some other DDR2 lines you are looking for let me know.

Can you let me know what other Conroe processors you have ordered? How many extreme edition have you ordered?

Extreme Edition we have 50 units allocated to us. :)

Pricing at the moment is not accurate enough for us to begin taking pre-orders. Intel are sitting with me right now and pricing will be finalised hopefully in a few days. :)

OcUK is the first company in the UK to place orders for Conroe this means OcUK will be the first with stock and have the best allocation. :)

Just a question, when paying next day delivery, are we talking about receiving the processor a day after you get it?
