Recently i converted to intel, since bulldozer was a big flop. Got meself i5k along with msi z68a-gd65-g3 mobo. On my amd build, i was gettin 14-17 idle temps for 1090T, on this intel however i get around 35, should i be worried?

CPU sink i use is thermalright ultra revC along with TY140 and MX-4 paste. Should i be worried? can someone share their temps on air cooling?

Cheers

Those temps are fine, there's no way you were actually getting 14-17c idle temps on your 1090T unless you live in a fridge, since your room temperature had to be higher than that.

CPUID Hardware Monitor was showing lowest 14, thats how i check intels temp.

MAX temp across cores was 50

TMPIN0 43 MAX
TMPIN1 42 MAX
TMPIN2 34 MAX

Was wondering whats max temp for i5k?

EDIT: GPU is alarming 80max, deffo getting accelero xtreme plus ii for it on monday

Max CPU temp is around 100 I believe, though I wouldn't recommend running at that 24/7. 35C is fine.

That GPU temp is quite high, what spec is it? Though GPU temps are often a lot higher than CPUs.

And 17 degrees for your old CPU is very very unlikely, especially considering room temp is likely to be higher than that unless you are in a very cold room. Your old CPU may well have had a stuck/broken sensor.

I've upgraded from Phenom II X6 1090T, GA-990FXA-UD3. keep ur memory psu etc, and get i5k and msi gd65, can still get 20% back on them if you buy tommorow

Forgot to mention that system now feels a lot better, snappier, fps improved.
