intel Core i5?

Well i just got a core i7, and i'm hearing that intel plans to release the core i5 in third Quarter of 09. I was thinking that it would be socket 1366, but i think i read somewhere that it is not, and it will use ddr2 memory. I AM SO CONFUSED! does anyone have any good info on the core i5 or just other core i7's (to be released) for that matter?

So no point in getting upset for not waiting to get i5 then. I would be upset if the i7 was phased out.... I JUST BOUGHT THE DAM THING!

Such stupid talk, almost ANY 775 CPU will do anything you need it too. I would bet all my savings on that fact that bar games all of you using i7 setups on average never get over 10% usage. It's a toy for you guys and as such I hope Intel / AMD push you for every penny as your clearly retarded.

No, seriously I had the money and wanted the best money could buy. I didn't want to have any regrets as to what I could have had. If you are broke or on a budget, get a intel dual or amd. If you have disposable income which anymore nowadays you have to have to do this hobby, than go with the i7, you won't regret it.

Every hobby is expensive if you are serious about it.....Even trains.
