Well seems my pc has died (q9550) so looking at buying a new system.

I do video encoding and surf the web etc a bit of gaming but not as much as I'd like.

I'm looking for some advice what to go for in terms of CPU and mobo and ram really.

Is it worth paying a little more to get the 2600K i take it K means you can clock it up as well?

Any help would be appreciated please.

What about Ram i've always used Geil and never had any issues with them?

Thanks for the input so far guys :)

Can any suggest a good P mobo please. I always use asus but ive read a lot of people seem to be having issues with them? What's gigabyte like? Was looking at the p67a-ud39 maybe?

Hoping to pay around £130ish or a bit more if it's worth it.

Thank you.

Does the gigabyte have the features like the asus boards such as , 2 overclocking settings in the bios you can load up. The ability to put the computer to sleep but it will carry on downloading things like that?

Thanks
