Trying to do a mild OC for my core i7 with the stock intel cooler. Cannot get stable at 3.2 which i find bizarre. I have HT disabled as well as Turbo mode. All voltages are at stock voltages in the bios. Ram timings are at its rated timings which is. 8-8-8-20 running a gigabyte UD3R with latest bios. There is a option in my bios. Bi-directional PROCHOT? should this be on or off? Ok what should i set the threads to in intel cpu burn test? and what should i set the stress level too? Also what is the highest temp i should take my core i7 too?
