When will intel CPU pricing be drooping on the older gen CPU's, right here i now i can see intel selleing any older cpu's because of coffee lake pricing.

eg:

i3 6100 - £109 2core 4thread
pentium G4560 - £57 2core 4thread
i3 8100 - £109 4core 4thread

i5 6600k - £218 4core 4thread
i3 8350k - £158 4core 4thread

i7 6700k - £320 4core 8thread
i5 8500k - £289 6core 6thread
i7 8700 - £338 6core 12thread

how dose intel/Ocuk(and other retailers) expect to clear out the last gen of CPU's when pricing look like it dose. the best one is look at the 6600k to the newer 8350k, the newer faster cpu is £60 cheper

the 8350K is a golden chip, by the looks of it most are hitting 5Ghz with no temp problems.
at £150 for gaming its fantastic

Should drop the price by middle of next year by the latest? I’m assuming they would just to shift extra units as they have coffee lake now and next year will see intel refresh too

i just fined it funny that there as been no price change at all, this could be the make coffee lake look better and sell better.. but there is no stock so right now intel are selling nothing or very little at best.

this will only push ppl to AMD as they have loads of stock and a good price range plus the motherboards to suit all levels of cpu.

there trying to cut the prices of x299 but the motherboards atart at £200+ so thats a none mover too, i think it would be a good move to drop the price of the low level cpu's to give intel something to to sell

Intel do not do price drops on old generation, they simply eventually phase them out and we hold minimal stock so nothing needed from our part to lower pricing.

Given that Intel seem to be pleasing the stock market since their results, vs the 14%+ drop AMD have seen, I'm not sure Intel will be budging much at all on their pricing of anything. AMD's resurgence seems to have had a more positive effect on Intel recently than AMD!
As already said, Intel never seem to drop the prices of their older gen by much. There's always limited enough stock to provide an upgrade path to those running older gen hardware.

They have been dropping - I have seen sub £300 deals on the Core i7 7700 and 6700 series for a few weeks now.

Plus at the low end CFL has no sub £100 CPUs,so there is no need for Intel to drop prices on those yet and BR is not so hot in CPU performance,so it will take a combination of the lower end CFL CPUs and desktop Raven Ridge,to force a change under £100.

Have seen OC's with new stock on discount while the older stock would still be full price.

That is us doing deals, I said Intel do not do price drops, which they do not, hence why 6700k, 7700k the price hardly moves any fluctuation comes from USD/GBP strength ratio and us doing deals, so maybe £10-£30 tops.

As of now we have zero interest in doing deals on old gen. :)

Intel aren't stupid as they know that people wanting to upgrade a 6 or 7 series system will either have to buy a KL chip or upgrade the mobo as well as buy a new CPU so that keeps demand for KL.
But more than that these older chip will be sold to OEM system builders for a year or longer so they have an outlet for these that is much bigger than the retail market.
So the Dells and the like will keep on buying these and selling them alongside newer generations at lower prices to people looking for better value or often to people who have no idea what is what.
