Intel cuts quad-core price by 50 percent

some shops halved there Q6700 prices first thing today, i presume other shops will follow on once they've updated there sites.

oh great wait till i buy Q6600 THEN cut the price :( they did the same with my old P4 im sure their spying on me :D that cost me £140 too

bit of a non-event with the price of th q6600's anyway, isnt it?

depends on your hardware or level of confidence i guess.

if your overclocking options are limited for one reason or another then the Q6700 just got a whole lot more interesting.

may i add that the Q6600 functions 'perfectly' at stock, i dont see reason to oc it yet :D

I agree with you whole-heartedly, not a single thing slows down for me.

A couple of permabans needed..., anyone else agree :p :D :)

I am waiting it out at the moment... Slowly moving over from S939 at the moment. got a P35 board & a E6300 (second hand) on the way. I dont really do anything that cpu intensive on my pc so should see me ok till quads drop below £100, main reason i am moving over now is the price of DDR2.
