I notice most DDR3 ram is tested or made for i3, i5 and i7, but I'm looking for one for a Phenom II, The AMD specific ones seem a bit more money for the same specs... are all compatible with all... in terms of I want.. PC3-12800 1600MHz, one designed for i7 will still work or do I have to go and get a more expensive AMD specific version?

I know I may sound like a n00b, but I just want to make sure before I make a mistake

As posted before there won't be any issues with the memory as it states tested for intel p55 chipsets this doesnt mean there is any issues with AMD it just means they have opimised it for Intel, however in realworld terms this should have no noticeable effect to stability or overclocking ability

The Phenom II can work with both high voltage and low voltage RAM at their native voltages. OTH,the Intel socket 1156 and 1366 processors need to have their RAM at 1.65 volts and below.
