Hello,

Newbie here. I currently looking at a way to overclock my E6320 with my Intel DG33TL board. At the time I bought the board as I didnt wish to overclock. How things change. lol

As I cant set the FSB in the BIOS I'm looking at software tools. I'm currently running Vista 32 Home Premium. I've tried SetFSB but with no luck. It will talk to the board but when I set the new FSB it doesnt take effect. I've tried disabling Hyper Threading on the board and reinstalling the OS but no joy so I've turned it back on and reinstalled vista.

Thanks in advanced.

I would think that it is virtually impossible to overclock with that board. It looks as though there are no options in the BIOS to change the FSB and unless Intel provide a windows based overclocking utility then you may be out of luck.
PS welcome to the forums BTW

ive got the same mobo in my sff & it is impossible to clock it as far as i'm aware, it's marketed as a vista native media board, hence the total lack of any kinda oc options in the bios, or for that matter any kinda support from 3rd party apps.

Anyone know the PLL on that board?

It "may" be possible to ClockGen or SetFSB it, but it really is a remote possibilty.

After more reading last night it appears others are using SetFSB with the DG33TL as it has the correct PLL. For some reason it wont work on mine.

Using CPU-Z I notice when the PC is not under load the multiplier changes from 7 to 6. Could this be stopping the SetFSB taking efect?

Update

After reading this blog and talking to the guy it appears people can get SetFSB to work with my board however I cant.

PLEASE HELP! Why cant I set the FSB. Is their something in the Vista Home Premium OS blocking it or somthing in the BIOS blocking it?
