Intel Dual Cores + Task Manager

Hi there,

I am looking to buy a new dual core PC, but I'm afraid of licensing problems. If I buy a dual socket motherboard, and stick 2x dual core cpu's in there. Would there be 4 cpu's in task manager? or 8?

Does dual cores have HT technology, or is it the more advanced version of HT, actually having 2 cores and removing HT? I don't want 4 actual cpus and have 8 showing in task manager.

4 cores but only 2 CPUs... cores dont affect licensing... and not HT tech in Core 2 Duo
