Nice find :D

Now if they come down to the price of an X2 3600+ or seriously out perform them then they will be a bargain.

Wonder how well they'll OC? If they are getting good yeilds now I can see the same sort of speeds that are being achieved on the 4300's and if you can find a good budget mobo at around £40 which has some FSB tolerance then you are laughing.

I thought the low E's were simply Pentium D's naming schemes? I understand they will still be shipping them as their uber budget models. I could be wrong though :)

Wow those scores are extremely close to the E4300. Maybe this will end the rein of the E4300 being the budget chip. Hopefully it overclocks just as well as the E4300.

Yeah but Pentium Ds don't come with 1.6Ghz model, even for uber budget market it is still way too slow for a Netburst chip.

Damn for £50 & judging from the benches on anandtech that is a bargin.

Exactly the sort of thing I am after for a future HTPC build.

Edit just been reading some of the comments on the anandtech review and it appears that a 100% overclock (200-400fsb) is possible.

A £50 C2D based cpu running at 3ghz+ = me :D

100% overclock. Looks good. Stock cooling and everything.

ooh that looks tempting for my server (instead of a mobile chip), anyone know what the power usage is likely to be, ie comparable to the t7200 for example

Tell me about it.

I have currently been pricing up pcs (sub £600) based around the E4300/E4400 and then theres this. Roughly half the price yet all round performance wise its within 10% of the E4xxx series.

Ah well all the better for me.

They arent out for a while though, but yeah they will be good CPU's, when they are available.

Probably a bit early for sites to be listing these, but better early than late I suppose...
