I'm looking at ordering a couple of Intel Pro ET dual port cards for a test server set-up.
Looking at the specification, these are PCI-e 2.0 cards.
The motherboard I've got for the test set-up just has a couple of PCI-e x4 slots, it's not PCI-e 2.0 standard. (Intel S5000VSA)
Does anyone know if the cards would work in these slots?
Edit: I know cards are generally backwards compatible but, "generally" doesn't really cut it for this purchase.
Thanks
