Hello!

I recently bought myself a Z97 SOC from Gigabyte with the plan to then get a 4790K and sell off my current kit (2500k along side a 6870) to a friend of mine.

Problem is that my friend needs this PC next weekend and I won't have the spare cash I need to get the CPU and some more RAM (as he is getting my current RAM as well). Just as a stop gap, so I can use my PC for just generic PC business, would a G3258 fit into the Z97 without any trouble?

See after selling my Pc I am short £200 of getting new RAM and the 4790K so getting this for the time being would mean that I am not without a PC until I sell my self off for the extra coins.

EDIT: CPU in question here

Thanks,

Grady

Yes, that CPU will fit. If the CPU and the board have the. Same socket number (1150 in this instance) you'll have no issues.

pentium K will be fine as long as its on F6 bios revision

cracking chips for some budget gaming too, obviously will struggle with heavily threaded titles but i've got one at 4.4ghz and its a cracker
