This Intel on board graphics card was designed for Vista and is more powerful than the GMA 950 in the Mini now.

"Some configurations will include state-of-the-art dedicated pixel (8) and vertex shaders along with the ability to access up to 384MB of your DDR2 memory."

I don't know how it stands up against other entry level cards, but it sounds like it could be a big improvement over the 950 for the Mini, still not neccessarily any good for games though, I assume.

GeForce 7300 LE = 4.3 GB/sec
Intel GMA 3000 = 8.5-12.8 GB/sec (shared with CPU)
GeForce 7900 GT = 42.2 GB/sec (dedicated for GPU)
Radeon X1600 XT = 22.1 GB/sec (dedicated for GPU)

It should make the Mini even more appealing, especially along with the Core 2 Duo it'll hopefully get next year.

And then after that...

"Cantiga ups the frontside bus speed to 1,067MHz and looks set to support 800MHz DDR 3 in preference to the less power-efficient 800MHz DDR 2, the report suggests. The chipset family will include an integrated part containing ten pixel shaders, up from the GMA 3000's eight. Expect the graphics core to be clocked to 475MHz, we're told."

It does sound nicer but would be better if it's dedicated GPU.

That's why I stick to gaming with my PC, Xbox and hopefully a Wii instead of using my MacBook's GMA950. :)
