Intel guy switching to AMD AM5, advice please

Oh cool, intakes on the bottom and the back side, then exhaust on the rear and pushing through the AIO.

Not set on the colours yet, this is the default iCue colours at the moment. I have turned on EXPO and EPO, but not chanmged anything else.

Just ran Cinebench and a couple of 3D mark tests, and all good.

I just want an easy way of changing the RGB on the 3080 and on the motherboard, but having a google seems to say I need to install armoury crate, which having another look, seems to be a big no no.

I was a hardcore intel guy for years but after buying 13900ks and then Intel trying to cover up the massive problem with then degrading, mine never I was lucky but it was enough for me to change over to AMD

I've an asusam4 build with a 3080/b550e-e mobo/vengeance rgb ram and corsair 5000x case with ql120 fans in there...I must have downloaded armoury crate but everything is controlled by icue...mobo/ram/gpu/aio and case fans all show up in the software...such a long time ago since i openned it (as work abroad so don't really use pc..my son's now) but had no issue
my pc at mo is an asus board, and usearmoury crate just to set mobo rgb and the air cooler...got a sapphire gpu so use trixx for that and icue for ram only as fans are lian li...but armoury crate is just like the other software...don't have an issue with it..just download the bit that allows you to controll the rgb and skip the rest
side note..does the 3500x case have dust filters where all the fans are...currenlty using an 011d evo, but side intakes etc don't, just the case holes...live in a dusty environment and case gets dust in it..my 5000x had dust filters on everything(front/side and top) and never had a dust problem..really want to get back to a thinner case also..and the 3500x is available here..just doesn't look like it has proper dust filters that i can see

Yes all fan intakes have removable dust filters, the bottom one just slides out and is the whole length of the case, including PSU. The top and rear ones are magnetically held on, just need to pop the side and top panels off which is very easy and requires no screwdriver.

I just saw a few post highly recommeding not to install Armory Crate, but if I can just install the bit to change the RGB I need I might take another look.

thanks..dust filters all round...might wait for black fri see what price does here...saying that basic case here is £60 equiv from scan..prob still wait...I liked the new 4500x design shown at computex...my 011d can live on a bit before i pass that on to a family member
