nevermind having problems again (sorry, have to res thread since the problem's resurfaced). first i had crazy artefacts because i'd set the vram too low. now i'm having artefacts again despite setting vram to 256mb with 1.7gb max.

off the top of my head halo 1 dynamic reflections as seen here:
are filled with garbage. the game is fine until that point, and i haven't played beyond that bridge. just the reflections on the bridge turn to garbage. masterchief looks fine in the reflections, but everything else flickers white or something.

halo 2 reflective surfaces are fairly garbagey. even with the game fully installed the menu screen with the buildings is garbage. the buildings keep their shape but the shapes are full of shimmering/flickering polygons.

and some other games i can't think of sometimes skip textures on certain objects, but i think those games are opengl which intel igds has bad support of.

i can run 3dmark11 without problems, and some games run fine. it's just halo and halo 2, and it seems to be on reflective surfaces only. is this hardware related do you think?
