I was planning on spending 700 on a decent gaming laptop i have seen, but the only gaming I will be doing is World of Warcraft, I then will just be using it for internet.

So, I don't really fancy spending 700 if the only game i will be playing is WoW.

I have seen the Acer 5742, This laptop is selling for 450, Specifications:

Intel Core I5 - 480M Dual Core

6 GB Ram

Intel HD graphics with up to 1274 mb

Megapixels - 1370 x 768

Ok so this laptop has a good processor and plenty of ram, but the graphics card is a worry.

Will i be able to play WoW on this? And i mean play it well, even in large raids?

Please let me know of any other laptops around the 450 to 550 pound mark that will be able to handle WoW if this one won't.

Thank you for reading.

That is the old HD GMA solution not the newer HD3000. I had an integrated amd chip in my last laptop which was more powerful that the HD GMA and it barely ran it on lowest detail.

So no,

You want a minimum of the Gen 2 Intel Core i3/i5 with the HD3000 graphics or a dedicated Ati 5470 graphics for the low end gaming on WoW.

Nvidia GT525/540 or ati 6630 for average gaming
